Formationly Executive Operating System

FEOS Navigation Specification

The executive navigation model that organizes Formationly around the partner journey rather than the internal structure of the software.

Version 1.0  •  July 2026
Navigation Purpose

Navigation should guide the partner, not expose the complexity of the platform.

The FEOS navigation model is designed to help partners understand where they are, what resources are available, what they should do next, and how each workspace supports their ministry mission.

Native Thinkific features should remain available where necessary, but the visible partner experience should reflect the Formationly Executive Operating System rather than a traditional affiliate dashboard.

Governing Navigation Principle
“The navigation should reflect the partner journey, not the internal architecture of the software.”

The navigation follows a guided progression.

Navigation Behavior

Navigation should remain consistent across devices.

Desktop

Persistent Executive Menu

Use a visible sidebar or structured menu that gives partners immediate access to primary workspaces.

Tablet

Collapsible Navigation

Preserve the same information architecture while reducing horizontal space.

Mobile

Guided Mobile Menu

Use a clear menu trigger, large touch targets, readable labels, and minimal nesting.

Navigation Standards

Every navigation decision should improve clarity.

Use clear language instead of internal development terminology.
Keep primary navigation limited to the major partner workspaces.
Avoid exposing unfinished or unavailable features without a clear “Coming Soon” designation.
Preserve native Thinkific functions while reorganizing them within the FEOS experience.
Ensure every page provides a clear path forward, backward, and home.
Implementation Sequence

Navigation changes should be implemented in a controlled sequence.

STEP 1
Inventory
Document every current Thinkific and custom menu item.
STEP 2
Map
Assign each current item to the correct FEOS workspace.
STEP 3
Backup
Create a Git rollback point before changing navigation code.
STEP 4
Build
Implement the executive menu within the development theme.
STEP 5
Validate
Test every destination, account function, and mobile behavior.

Clear navigation creates confidence.

The FEOS navigation system should help every partner move through Formationly with clarity, purpose, and an immediate understanding of what matters next.
